Roslyn Nunn

LMNS Public Health Practitioner

Having qualified as a Registered General Nurse with experience in elderly care, Ros completed dual registration as a Midwife and has worked across all areas of maternity services. She specialised in infant feeding within an NHS Trust, leading to full UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) accreditation. Ros also managed an infant feeding team and peer support programme in Sure Start Children’s Centres, achieved another BFI accreditation in community settings, and is currently seconded to a public health prevention role in maternity with NENC.

In her current role, Ros provides strategic oversight for the North East and North Cumbria Infant Feeding Strategy, leading a nationally recognised model of best practice. She guest lectures and offers clinical expertise across the North East and North Cumbria, serving as the NENC regional lead for the National Infant Feeding Network and a member of the UNICEF BFI Designation Committee.

Her work includes addressing health inequalities and supporting best practice standards in areas such as maternal healthy weight, immunisation (including COVID-19), safe sleep, and migrant health. Ros is involved in the NENC LMNS infant feeding, healthy weight, and pregnancy anticipatory care workstreams.
