Nicola Jackson

NENC LMNS Deputy Director

Nicola started working in the LMNS in 2017. Her previous experience includes leading the integration of children and young people’s services in the NHS, managing a large Children’s Trust while collaborating with a wide range of multi-disciplinary partners, and overseeing programme management in children’s services within a local authority. Nicola also spent four years working nationwide to support improvement work in the voluntary sector and to design and deliver a wide range of leadership courses.

In her role as LMNS Deputy Director, Nicola is responsible for the following areas:

  • Providing strategic leadership for the LMNS and being accountable to the LMNS Senior Responsible Officer and the ICB Executive Board.
  • Overseeing the maternity and neonatal programme and providing assurance on the impact of this work across the North East and North Cumbria.
  • Being accountable for implementation, governance, assurance, and reporting processes to stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with all impacted organisations, including the ICB, Provider Trusts, and other partners, to manage key interdependencies.
  • Managing, planning, and monitoring the LMNS budget.

Outside of work, Nicola loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoys exploring the beautiful Lake District whenever time allows.
