MVP case study: Team Evie

Maternity Voices Partnerships (MVPs) work well as a network and they have great connections locally and can link up services and people in their local area.

In this example, West Cumbria MVP helped Cumbria-based Team Evie reach out to specialist bereavement midwives in their area to provide targeted support to families – linking up charity workers with lived experience of child loss and providing peer to peer support.

A Bereavement Support MVP sub-group is being set up as a result to look at areas where support can be improved further. The MVPs signpost and connect women and families to the right places and help them access the support they need.
